Hampshire Shakespeare to host benefit for Amherst Cinema Center
June 4, 2002 - Hadley, MA - The June 27 performance of Hampshire Shakespeare Company's production of Measure for Measure will be a benefit for the
Amherst Cinema Center to raise funds for the renovation of the historic building as a regional performing arts facility. Tickets
for the event are $35, and include a catered reception and discussion of the play by New England Renaissance Center director Dr. Arthur
Kinney. The reception and performance will take place in the Company's regular location at the Hartsbrook School at 193 Bay Road
in Hadley, Massachusetts.
The evening's festivities will begin at 6 pm with dancing by the Juggler Meadow Morris Dancers and the Hartsbrook Garland Dancers as
costumed members of the company carry refreshments to the guests. Dr. Kinney will give a brief lecture about the play at 6:30 pm
after which the performance will begin. Tickets for this special event are available by phone, mail or in person at the Amherst
